Tom's BMW R850R and Oilhead BMW Review
The inner tip of the exhaust rusted out. That is bad. As you can see from my other web pages, I kind of fixed it. The muffler includes the catalytic converter. (Joining the muffler and cat into a single unit is a really bad design, if you ask me.) Price of a new muffler: 1000 USD. Yikes. The muffler exterior is stainless, but the internals are plain old steel. What is up with that?
